About The Shakespeare

The Shakespeare is a traditional pub located on the corner of Goswell Road and Fann Street and is part of the Barbican Development designed by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon. You will find a wide selection of fine ales on offer along with over thirty specially selected Scottish malt whiskies. The Shakespeare also serves a very good selection of cocktails.

The Shakespeare boasts sixteenth century décor and is littered with references to the Shakespearean period. It is said that William Shakespeare himself lived only a few streets away.

Many local, national and international events are celebrated at The Shakespeare. The Shakespeare is easily accessible via street level and can accommodate up to one hundred seated guests.
